Memories can make us go back in time, like time travelers seeking to find that lost part of you. And we reflect on the past or maybe even consider how it affected our future.
Time travelling in the Cambridge English Dictionary means—someone who can move between different times in the past or the future.
Now, imagine with me for a second, if you could go back in time, what would you change?

For me, I would’ve quit my job earlier and do something totally fulfilling. And different from what others expected me to be or do. I’d worry less … relax more … and spend more time with my mom.
What advise would you give your younger self?
I’d tell myself, you’re doing great … be patient … It’s not a race … respect yourself.
You see, your past holds clues that can help you move forward. But are you willing to take the risk to go back in time?
In this article, I’ll show you how the past and the future are connected to this present moment.
A Time Traveler Moves Between the Past and the Future
One of my favorite movies is Back to The Future. Where Marty McFly accidentally travels back in time. In the past, he meets a younger Doc and convinces him to harness a powerful charge from a lightning bolt to zap him back to the future.
See he doesn’t belong in the past. His home is in the future. But before this happens, he goes on a secret mission to change the future by giving Doc a message that would save him.
Let’s get this right. Marty in the present, goes back in time to the past and tries to change the course of events hoping it will affect the future.
So seriously, in a way we too can consider ourselves time travelers! Can you see what is holding you back in the past? What if you can release yourself from the chains that trap you from moving forward. Would you consider doing that? Only you will know what matters to you to make that change for the better.
Do you want to be free from the prison in your mind? How do you solve your problems?
If you could go back in time and stop yourself from making that mistake, life would be perfect. Right?
But what if you were meant to be making that mistake so you can learn an important lesson. To help you grow into the person you were meant to be.
What do you do when troubles or challenges surround you?
Surrender that Moment
Detach yourself from any possible outcome you wanted.
Accept it and let nature take its course.
How many times have you wanted to make things right in your life? What’s actually stopping you?
Did you react out of FEAR or LOVE?
Let’s go back to Marty. When he saw Doc get shot and die, he was motivated by fear to change the future. Many people make the mistake of living in the past. Hoping to have changed a part of their life to find happiness. But if you are living in the past, how are you going to make a life in the future?
Consider this as a clue in the movie Back to The Future, Marty went back to the past to fix a problem and succeeded. If you can free yourself from whatever is holding you back in the past, you can move forward with your life. And into a better future, living with purpose. So do you want to live your best life? What’s holding you back now?
